Lech beat Thun 7-0 on 20 August in the first leg of their Europa League play-off, which puts the return on 27 August in a strange place. The tie is almost gone, but a play-off defeat still sends Thun into the Conference League league phase. I would not pretend seven goals are a normal target. The real decision is whether the coach uses the return to chase an impossible rescue or as the first serious preparation for the competition Thun are now likely to play. https://www.fotmob.com/api/data/matchDetails?matchId=5987963 https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/accesslist/
Should Thun treat the Lech return as Conference League prep?

The 7-0 looks less like only a score after Frederiksen's explanation. He said Lech expected Thun's man-to-man marking to leave space and attacked it with runs behind. For me that makes the return-leg choice practical: if Thun use it as Conference League preparation, the first test is whether the coach changes that risk before asking players to chase anything. Otherwise preparation is only a softer name for repeating the same match. https://www.lechpoznan.pl/news%2C6%2Cwypowiedzi-po-meczu-lech-fc-thun%2C48081.html
