Austria Wien bring a 2-1 lead home against Beitar on Thursday 13 August at 20:30 CET in the Conference League third qualifying round, but there is no safety net for the loser. Protecting one goal from kickoff feels dangerous because one Beitar goal levels the tie, while an early Austria goal would change what Beitar need. Does Austria's coach manage the lead first, or is the safer choice actually to push for that second goal? The winner faces Braga or Dinamo-Minsk in the play-off. https://www.uefa.com/uefaconferenceleague/news/02a6-20e5e911587f-cc10425958b3-1000--conference-league-qualifying-fixtures-results-dates-how-it-/
Should Austria Wien protect their 2-1 lead against Beitar?

Now the incentive has changed completely. Atzili and Kalu put Beitar 2-0 up, then Boateng answered two minutes later to make the aggregate 3-3. Austria made three substitutions at 59 minutes and replaced Boateng at 72. We cannot call those changes attacking without more evidence, but this is now a test of how Austria manage an even tie after losing their cushion, not how they protect a lead. https://www.espn.com/soccer/match/_/gameId/401903111
