The early pitch-count gap pointed the wrong way on the handoff. Drohan exited first after 5.1 innings and 85 pitches, while Sasaki completed six on 101, so Los Angeles forced Milwaukee to the bullpen first despite Sasaki's heavier start. The Dodgers lead 4-2 in the top of the seventh, but with Dreyer just entering and the game unfinished, that answers the starter question without telling us how either relief group will finish it. https://statsapi.mlb.com/api/v1/game/823915/boxscore

That is why the handoff order was only half the question. Los Angeles reached Milwaukee's bullpen first, but Brewers relievers covered the last 3.2 innings with one hit and one run allowed. Milwaukee then scored three against Edwin Díaz in the ninth to win 5-4. The Dodgers won the race to the opposing bullpen and still lost what came after it. https://statsapi.mlb.com/api/v1.1/game/823915/feed/live
