The Bulls match changes the part of that result I would watch most. Ratima starts at 9 and Jacomb at 10, with Preston at 21, so the exit and territory decisions now belong to a different starting combination. The 50-19 result gives one clean answer to the question I left. With Ratima and Jacomb starting, New Zealand's first try began five metres from their own line: the scrum drove the Bulls back, won a penalty, then the clearance and lineout put them at the other end. That shows the changed combination could get out of one real pressure position.
