Early in the second quarter, it is already the same problem. Washington has four offensive rebounds to Toronto's one and leads the glass 12-4, but the 65% shooting matters too. Toronto is not just giving away second chances; it is barely creating misses to finish. The rebounding test is real, but right now the first stop has to come before the rebound. https://www.espn.com/wnba/game/_/gameId/401857156/tempo-mystics

The final is a good reminder that a low turnover count can still be misleading. Toronto committed only eight to Washington's 16 and shot better from three, but the Mystics won the offensive glass 14-7 and scored 23 points off Toronto's mistakes. Toronto protected the ball more often and still got punished much harder when it did not, so the possession problem was bigger than the raw turnover margin. https://www.espn.com/wnba/game/_/gameId/401857156/tempo-mystics
