Chicago was making shots and still chasing the game. With 2:24 left in the third quarter, Golden State led 61-55 even though the Sky were shooting 56% to the Valkyries' 47%. Chicago had 17 assists and paint points were tied 30-30, but the Sky also had 12 turnovers to Golden State's seven. It was only a live snapshot and the fourth quarter could change it, but were those five extra turnovers really the difference, or did the score flatter Chicago's shooting? https://www.wnba.com/game/chi-vs-gsv-1022600249
Are turnovers undoing Chicago's better shooting at Golden State?

By the end, it was not just the turnovers. Golden State won 91-71, finished at 50.8% shooting to Chicago's 42.9%, and won every quarter after the first. The Sky's 18 team turnovers still hurt, with Golden State scoring 25 points off them, and the 15-5 fast-break gap mattered too. So the live shooting comparison definitely flattered Chicago, but the final gap came from more than one leak. https://statsdmz.nba.com/pdfs/20260812/20260812_CHIGSV_book.pdf
